Whether online or at a cozy local coffee spot, this one-hour meeting is a wonderful opportunity for us to connect. We’ll chat about your hopes, needs, and vision for your birth experience while exploring how a doula’s support can align with your goals. This relaxed and open conversation is designed to help you feel confident and informed in your decision-making.
Labor and Birth Support
Our package offers full labor support with no time limitations. Beginning at 38 weeks, we will be on call and ready to assist until your baby arrives. This means we are available at short notice once labor begins, ready to come to you when you feel you need extra support. We will stay with you and your partner throughout the entire labor process, from early labor—often at home—to the birth location. We will also assist with the transition to your hospital or birth center, ensuring it is as smooth and comfortable as possible.
Labor support is tailored to the needs of each couple and can include emotional encouragement, physical comfort measures, informational guidance, breastfeeding assistance, and advocacy—facilitating clear and effective communication between you and your care provider.

Ongoing Care
At NurtureNest Doula & Beyond, we strive to offer continuous support beyond just the birth experience. It can be quite common for a doula and the family to form a strong connection. Having shared such a significant experience together, it’s natural for them to stay in touch. Often times, doulas and families maintain their relationship for years following the birth. We are forever grateful and thankful for repeat clients and feel honored to be invited to support families through multiple births! It truly is a blessing for the doula to remain connected with families during such special moments in their lives.
Prenatal Appointments
Usually held in the client’s home, are an essential part of building a strong, trusting relationship between the doula and the client. Once clients have contracted for doula services, this two-hour session allows the client and doula to get in sync with the birthing plan, ensuring a supportive and personalized experience.
We’ll dive into your birth plan, discuss the desires of both the mom and their support person, and address any questions you may have. We’ll also explore techniques, end-of-pregnancy positions, and provide key information to help you feel confident and well-prepared. These meetings are best scheduled between 30 and 38 weeks of pregnancy.
Postpartum Appointment
Once the family begins to settle in, we will reach out to the parents within a few days after birth either via text or phone. We will check in and offer any additional resources they may need and will schedule the postpartum appointment between 2-6 weeks.
The appointment will provide an opportunity for the mother to share her birth experience, ask questions, and discuss how life is going at home with the new baby. During this time, the doula can offer further support, ideas, and encouragement tailored to the parents' needs. The postpartum appointment usually lasts about 1-2 hours.

If desired, we can also provide newborn care, giving you the opportunity to rest while we take care of your little one.
